UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Blockbuster actor Liam Neeson said he’s retiring his very particular set of skills.
In a Sept. 12 Sky News report, Neeson said he again wants to focus on serious roles.
Despite already having starred in acclaimed films including “Schindler’s List,” Neeson went on to make headlines in around a dozen action movies like “Taken” and “The Grey.”
Even though the Irish actor said studios are still offering him serious money for the roles, Neeson said, “I’m sixty-fucking-five. Audiences are eventually going to go: ‘Come on.’”
But Neeson still has a couple of action flicks in the pipeline before audiences are left without his gruff voice and geriatric expertise.
In “The Commuter,” Neeson will star as a businessman caught in a criminal conspiracy, and in “Hard Powder”, he’ll play a snowplow driver out for revenge against drug dealers.
Both films are set to be released next year.
