PewDiePie Apologizes for Saying the N-Word

UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — YouTuber PewDiePie has apologized for using the N-word in a livestream.

The moment came while PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, was playing a video game on Sunday Sept. 10 and began yelling at another player.

Kjellberg apologized in a short video posted on Tuesday, “It was something that I said in the heat of the moment. I said the worst word I could possibly think of and it just sorta slipped out, and I’m not gonna make any excuses as to why it did, because there are no excuses for it.”

He also said, “I’m disappointed in myself because it seems like I’ve learned nothing from all these past controversies.”

Some PewDiePie videos were accused of being anti-Semitic, causing him to be dropped by Disney’s Maker studios.

He ended by saying he owes it to himself and his audience to do better.
