UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — YouTuber PewDiePie is again in hot water after using the N-word in a livestream.
Pewdiepie, real name Felix Kjellberg, has the most subscribed channel on YouTube with over 57 million subscribers.
During a video game livestream on Sept. 9, Kjellberg said, “What a fucking N-word, jeez oh my god, what the fuck? Sorry but what the fuck? What a fucking asshole, I don’t mean that in a bad way, Jesus fuck.”
Some condemned PewDiePie while others came to his defense, saying the word was uttered in the heat of the moment and Kjellberg is not a racist.
Sean Vanaman, of game developer Campo Santo, makers of the game Firewatch tweeted, “we’re filing a DMCA takedown of PewDiePie’s Firewatch content and any future Campo Santo games.”
He also personally attacked Kjellberg, saying, “He’s worse than a closeted racist: he’s a propagator of despicable garbage.”
PewDiePie previously faced criticism and was dropped by Disney-owned Maker Studios in February over content deemed anti-Semitic.
