Hillary Clinton Says She’s ‘Done With Being a Candidate’

UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that she will not pursue the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

In an interview with CBS’s “Sunday Morning” on Sept. 10, Clinton was asked if he political career is over, to which she responded, “Yes, as an active politician it’s over.”

However, while Clinton’s days as an “active politician” may be over, the 69-year-old said that she plans to stay involved in national politics, “I am done with being a candidate, but I am not done with politics.”

Clinton added that she has moved on from her 2016 election loss, but acknowledged that the sting of defeat has not entirely faded away.

Clinton comments came just days before she will release “What Happened,” her memoir of the 2016 campaign.
