UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — A member of U-KISS, a South Korean boy-band, has suffered serious burns while filming a music video.
In the disturbing footage, U-KISS member Lee Kiseop holding a smoke emitter in his hand, as it blows up in his face.
The incident happened on Sept. 6, and Kiseop was immediately admitted into hospital in South Korea. He suffered second-degree burns to his face and dozens of shrapnel were lodged into his body.
The smoke emitter used in the video was similar to smoke emitters that are commonly used at sporting events or festivals to show support.
The 26-year-old singer has since been released from the hospital but will continue to need treatment.
Kiseop’s bandmate Kevin Woo, tweeted he is has been in contact with Kiseop and wishes him a speedy recovery.
