UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — U.S. President Donald Trump has fired back at North Korea with a new threat in an ongoing war of words.
The exchange of threatening rhetoric began when Trump said further North Korean threats would be met with “fire and fury.”
The North responded by threatening to attack the U.S. territory of Guam, prompting Trump to say maybe his threat wasn’t tough enough.
North Korea then doubled down, detailing plans to launch four ballistic missiles into waters off of Guam.
Most recently Trump tweeted on Friday, Aug. 11, “Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely. Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!”
He then retweeted a post from the U.S. Pacific Command saying B-1B bombers are on Guam ready to carry out the “#FightTonight mission if called upon to do so.”
