UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — She gave him a rose, and he gave her a ring.
The season 13 finale of “The Bachelorette” has ended with an engagement.
Rachel Lindsay, a 32-year-old Dallas lawyer, will wed Bryan Abasolo, a 37-year-old Miami chiropractor.
Lindsay, who was cast off as a contestant of season 21 of “The Bachelor,” became the first African-American bachelorette when the show premiered in May.
When things started, Lindsay was being wooed by 31 men, but she had the field narrowed down to two — Bryan and Peter — by the Aug. 7 finale.
Lindsay tells ABC News, she would have chosen Peter based on “pure infatuation,” but Bryan was the suitor she could spend the rest of her life with.
To avoid any spoilers, she and her new fiancé Bryan had been dating in secret since filming wrapped in May.
Now, she can finally slip that 3-carat engagement ring back on her finger.
