Lollapalooza Acts ‘Gutted’ Over Weather Cancellations, Performance Issues

UNITED NEWS INTERNATIONAL (UNI) — The first day of Lollapalooza left many fans and artists disappointed.

The first bump in the road happened during Liam Gallagher’s set at 4:30 p.m.

The former Oasis frontman was supposed to play for an hour, but abruptly walked off stage after about only 15 minutes.

During the performance, Gallagher said, “I don’t give a fuck, alright. No, this is…”

Gallagher later apologized on Twitter, saying, “Had a difficult gig last night which fucked my voice. I’m gutted.”

Hours later, headliners Muse and Lorde were slammed with heavy rain and lightning, forcing the festival to cancel their performances.

During her performance, Lorde said, “I guess the festival has said the weather is too crazy for us to play right now. We’ll be back. We’ll be back. Have a drink. I’m sorry. I love you. I’ll be back.”

Lorde later tweeted, “fucks sake. i am so gutted guys,” and, “this is the most MELODRAMA shit ever.”

Matt Bellamy from Muse tweeted, “Gutted. City/police made us leave the stage tonight 3 songs in.”

Other artists booked to perform at Lollapalooza this weekend are Chance the Rapper, Mac Demarco and Arcade Fire.
